Inspiring IMPACT

Young Entrepreneurs for Good

The TPS/JLAB session is a two-hour, hands-on experience where students explore local nonprofits and community challenges, use an Academic IMPACT Passport to identify a problem they care about, then work in teams to develop a solution using a hypothetical $10,000 investment and 100 volunteer hours. Students will apply entrepreneurship, philanthropy, financial literacy and problem-solving skills before presenting their ideas in short IMPACT pitches to a panel of community leaders. The experience is designed to show students that they can make a meaningful difference in their community using not only financial resources, but also their time, talent, ideas, voice and connections.
