Aly Sterling

Aly Sterling brings to Care for Kids something rare in the nonprofit world: the ability to translate mission into momentum. She contributes deep expertise in fundraising strategy, board development and organizational leadership that helps the organization operate with both heart and precision.

Aly is the founder and president of Aly Sterling Philanthropy (ASP), a Toledo-based consulting firm she launched in 2007 after more than two decades working inside the nonprofit sector. Nationally recognized for her work, ASP has grown into a partnership-driven firm that has helped nonprofits across the country raise millions of dollars, strengthen their boards and build sustainable strategies for growth.

After nearly twenty years, in 2026 Aly transitioned to leading and reimagining the Center for Nonprofit Excellence within the Greater Toledo Community Foundation to build a cohesive and responsive ecosystem of services, resources and curated partnerships to enhance the sector’s strength, durability and resilience.

Aly joined Care for Kids because she believes in what it represents: a smarter, more collaborative approach to giving that eliminates waste, bridges gaps and ultimately delivers more support to the children and families who need it.
