Sydney Williams, Ph.D.

Sydney Williams, Ph.D. is the Co-Founder and President of Care for Kids, a nonprofit she helped establish in 2021 to chart a new course for collaborative giving and community impact focused on children.

A lifelong advocate for children’s education and well-being, Sydney brings a rare combination of business leadership, academic depth and hands-on community engagement to her work at Care for Kids. She holds a doctorate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and an Executive MBA from the University of Toledo, credentials that inform her data-driven, people-centered approach to philanthropy.

Professionally, Sydney serves as President of Designetics, Inc., a Holland, Ohio-based industry leader in fluid application solutions. Under her leadership, Designetics has become as well known for its community impact as for its innovation — a reflection of Sydney’s belief that business excellence and social responsibility are inseparable.

Her commitment to children’s causes extends across the region. Sydney serves as a board member and Secretary of the Designetics Cares® Foundation and holds board and committee roles with St. Francis de Sales, Greater Toledo Classic, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, UT Family Business Center, Historic South Initiative and Toledo Museum of Art.

Sydney co-founded Care for Kids and National Care for Kids Day to address what she saw as a critical need: break down the silos among donors, nonprofits and community partners to maximize resources and accelerate change for children.
