Billy Mann

Billy Mann is deeply committed to giving back to his community, a value that has shaped both his professional and personal life. As a native of Toledoan, Billy began his journey with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo in 1995, where he currently serves as the Director of Development. His primary goal is to act as a change agent for society, fostering a culture of philanthropy and having a bigger impact in the lives of our children.

Volunteerism runs deep in Billy’s family, and he believes that giving back leads to greater happiness. This belief has guided his extensive volunteer work, which began during his undergraduate studies with organizations including The March of Dimes, United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Chicago, and the Union League Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.

Billy is a proud third-generation member of the Downtown Toledo Kiwanis Club, where he has served as President and Scholarship Chair, managing several community partnerships. He also contributes to the Holiday with Heart Charity Gala, supporting local LGBTQ+ causes, and has served as President of Equality Toledo. Additionally, Billy is the President of the Old Orchard Neighborhoods Association and an active member of the Garden Tour Committee.

In his role with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo, Billy has successfully influenced millions of dollars in donations, meeting annual fundraising targets and fostering a strong internal culture of giving. He has led various initiatives, including Christmas gift drives, educational programs, legacy giving, and the signature Barefoot at the Beach fundraiser. Recently, he spearheaded the Clubs’ 125th anniversary celebrations.

Billy is certified in Advanced Leadership by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and has been a finalist for the organization’s Development Professional of the Year award multiple times. He has received the Golden Boy Award from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Toledo and was named Kiwanian of the Year. Additionally, Billy is an Eagle Scout.

In his personal time, Billy enjoys gardening, spending time with his dog Charlotte, and traveling with his partner Mike.
