Care for Kids Coat Drive 2026

September 19, 2026 - December 4, 2026

Care for Kids is proud to continue our partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs, Susie’s Coats for Kids and the YMCA, working together to provide warmth to children in need across Metro Toledo as well as in multiple locations throughout the U.S.

As temperatures drop, too many kids in our community face winter without proper outerwear. With your support, we can change that—one coat at a time.

Get Involved

  1. Give a Coat – We are collecting new, gender-neutral coats in sizes ranging from children’s 7/8 to adult large. Please take a moment to view our donation guidelines before contributing.
  2. Donate Online – Prefer to give financially? Every dollar matters. A gift of $1,000 allows us to purchase multiple high-quality coats for local kids. 100% of your donation goes directly toward providing coats. No overhead, just warmth.
  3. Send a Gift by Mail – Buying online? Have coats shipped directly to:
    Designetics
    1624 S Eber Rd.
    Holland, OH 43528
  4. Spread the Warmth – Help us extend our reach by sharing this mission with your friends, coworkers and community. Host a collection at your workplace, post about the drive online or challenge your team to match donations.

Let’s come together to help kids stay warm this winter—and remind them they’re supported by a caring community. Follow us for updates and highlights throughout the drive on Facebook and Instagram.

National Care for Kids Day

September 20, 2026

National Care for Kids Day brings communities together to take meaningful action for children and families in need. Founded by Care for Kids in 2021, this annual day of impact shows how one focused moment can spark lasting change—through generosity, service and collaboration.

Across the country, individuals, businesses and nonprofits unite to support children’s health, education and well-being. Whether through donations, volunteering or advocacy, every action helps ensure kids feel supported, valued and cared for.

What to Expect:

  • Community Drives: Collecting essential items like coats, school supplies and hygiene products for children in need.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Hands-on ways to serve families directly through local organizations.
  • Awareness & Advocacy: Sharing stories and resources that shine a light on the needs of children and the organizations serving them.
  • Partnership & Learning: Businesses and nonprofits coming together to strengthen programs and expand impact.

National Care for Kids Day is more than a date—it’s a movement. When we show up together, we help create brighter futures for children and families.
