Sylvia van Meerten was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned her BA from Evergreen State College in Washington and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Vermont College. Sylvia launched a psychology practice at age 25, which has since transformed into her coaching & facilitation business. Sylvia became a Certified Forum Facilitator for YPO in 2018. She joined forces with John Colburn at ForumWithin in 2020. ForumWithin has tripled in size and now creates peer group programs for organizations world wide. On a personal level, Sylvia loves her family, sports and travel. She is intrigued by the trickiest problems, elegant solutions, unlikely friendships and transformation. She believes in love and belly laughs and she is a former amateur MMA fighter, basketball player, and lifelong Detroit Lions fan.
